Facilitation 101 Online Workshop

Session 1 | Workshop & Issuance of Assignment
Learn about the basics of participatory design and what it means to engage people. Learn about online interviewing skills as well as effective note-taking.

Assignment | Conducting and Transcribing of 3 Online Interviews
Participants will be tasked with an online assignment on conducting 3 online interviews to apply the skills learnt in Session 1.
23 November — 6 December 2020 | Estimated commitment of up to 3 hours for assignment
Session 2 | Reflections and Challenges
Participants will reflect on the experience, and share challenges of talking to people.

Why this Workshop?
Facilitation 101 is the process of guiding the members of a group in sharing ideas, opinions, experiences and expertise, for the purpose of achieving a common goal.
What will I learn?
This workshop gives a broad overview on how to talk and listen to people. This workshop shares the ins and outs of the process, addresses the challenges of group management, and explains how to ask the right questions and facilitate productive discussions.
Participants will also have the opportunity to practise their interviewing and note-taking skills through an online engagement (in one of P!D’s existing projects) as part of the training experience.
Who should attend?
Open to All! Volunteers, Civil Servants, Youths, Design Professionals, Artists and Students are welcome.

Up to 50 pax and will be conducted online
